The Beads of Courage Gold Origami Crane is a treasured symbol of peace, healing and longevity. In 2017, we dedicated the Gold Origami Crane to honor children and teens coping with cancer and the nurses who care for them. This dedication was made possible through a creative collaboration between Northwestern Mutual, the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (APHON), and Beads of Courage.
The crane is a favorite subject of origami, the art of traditional paper folding. The Gold Origami Crane comes to you with our collective wishes for hope and healing carried on its wings.
