About the Artist: Kris Schaible has been a glass bead artist for 16 years. She has supported Bead of Courage from its very earliest days and was inducted into the first class of the Beads of Courage Bead Artist Hall of Fame in 2013. Her beads went into space with Beads of Courage on NASA space shuttle missions STS-132 and 134, and were even on the winning dogsled team in the Iditarod race. Living in rural northeastern PA with her husband and three children, she gets deep inspiration from the nature that surrounds her. Bead of Courage is an organization close to her heart and she hopes you enjoy this little bit of Alien Smiles.
