Be Kind – Carry a Bead!

“Sometimes it takes only one act of kindness and caring to change a person’s life.” – Jackie Chan

World Kindness Day, celebrated annually on November 13, reminds us that compassion for others is what binds us all together. Or, as we say at Beads of Courage, like beads on a string, we are all connected.

In keeping with the spirit of World Kindness Day, we have created a special-edition Kindness Carry a Bead kit that lets you practice kindness and compassion year-round! Every time you carry a bead, you let a child coping with serious illness know that they are not alone in their fight for life.

Each Kindness Carry a Bead kit includes:

- Two colorful beads to carry
– one to keep and one to return to BOC
- An encouragement card to sign and return with your bead
- A Ben’s Bells* “Be Kind” sticker
- A Beads of Courage sticker
- Two Kindness Notes* to share a with a friend, colleague, or family member

The bead and encouragement card you return to us will be packaged with love and given to a child coping with serious illness on a tough treatment day to lift their spirits and honor their courage.

The special-edition Kindness Carry a Bead Kit is a collaboration between Beads of Courage and Ben’s Bells, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to teach individuals and communities about the positive impacts of intentional kindness and to inspire people to practice kindness as a way of life.

Commit an intentional act of kindness when you Carry a Bead to encourage a child coping with cancer or another serious illness. Stock up on Kindness Carry a Bead kits today. They make meaningful gifts, too!
